Series: Ludwig Revolution

Synopsis from Goodreads:

In this grim and realistic take on classic fairy tales, Prince Ludwig, a female corpse collector, is ordered by his father to find himself a wife more suitable than the women he often brings into the castle. Along with his servant Wilhelm, they travel across the land in search of fair maidens from classic stories in hopes of finding Ludwig a wife.

Review:
Ludwig Revolution is one of the few manga on MangaFox by Kaori Yuki. It’s not anything against the author, it’s just that most of her work has been licensed and thus isn’t on the site. 😦 I guess I just need to save up and go on a Half-Price Books spree to get the others.
Anyway, the four book series revolves around Prince Ludwig’s search for a bride. It’s mostly set in the time of many fairy tales. I can say this because that’s who he comes across in many of his travels. Sleeping Beauty, Hansel and Gretel, Red Riding Hood, and Snow White to name a few. But there’s always an interesting twist that lands Prince Lui in some interesting, and sometimes hilarious, situations.

My only issue with this series is that it hasn’t been released here yet! I want to go out and buy them so I can read them wherever I want to! It’s a great story and Kaori Yuki is quickly becoming my favorite manga author. She writes such interesting stories with a wonderful gothic flare. I can’t wait to read more.
